The course is designed to meet the contemporary needs of the health care and industrial R&D. It has a multidisciplinary and
research oriented curriculum related to Health and allied sciences. Students will have an opportunity to get trained in the
auxiliary branches of science such as ethics and public health. In addition to hands on training in state-of-the art
laboratories, they will also have an exposure to cutting edge technologies and research projects in biological sciences.
Bachelor’s degree in any branch of science securing a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate (excluding
languages) recognized by any Indian University or pass in health sciences and engineering streams.
This course is designed to train students on high-throughput data analysis and industry oriented elective subjects. They will
also get hands-on training in genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics. In addition to this they will have the
opportunity to do an industry internship in leading companies.

The minimum marks for students belonging to SC/ST categories shall be not less than 40% and for all
other categories it shall be not be less than 50% in the qualifying degree examination
MSc in Computational Biology

experiments in various omics fields are generating vast amounts of data that require bioinformatics/ computational biology
